Description
Axanthic Ball Python For Sale Canada
Axanthic is a well documented recessive mutation in the ball python hobby that removes yellow pigment from the skin, and every Axanthic ball python for sale Canada buyers find in our collection displays the resulting black, gray, and white pattern rather than the golden brown tones seen on a normal phase animal. When you search for an Axanthic ball python for sale Canada, it is important to know that Axanthic is not a single unified gene but a group of separate lines, commonly referred to by names such as VS, TSK, and Scientific, that produce a similar grayscale look but are not always compatible for breeding with one another.
Every Axanthic ball python for sale Canada listing states the exact line behind that specific animal along with its documented parentage, so collectors and breeders know precisely what genetics they are purchasing.
University of Toronto herpetology research program
Feeding for an Axanthic ball python for sale Canada is identical to any other ball python in our collection, an appropriately sized frozen thawed rodent diet fed on a consistent weekly to biweekly schedule, and we track and share individual feeding history for every Axanthic so new owners know exactly what to continue at home. Because line identity is critical for anyone breeding this gene, a buyer searching for an Axanthic ball python for sale Canada to expand into combo projects benefits significantly from our documented lineage records confirming which specific Axanthic line produced the animal.
Like all ball pythons, an Axanthic ball python for sale Canada has the same West and Central African origin and identical habitat needs as a normal phase animal, requiring a warm, humid enclosure with a proper thermal gradient regardless of its grayscale coloration. Temperament in an Axanthic ball python for sale Canada is generally consistent with the species overall, calm and food motivated once established, which makes this striking morph appealing to both new collectors drawn to its dramatic black and white appearance and experienced keepers building line-specific combo projects.
Quality Assurance, Genetic Documentation, and Longevity
Every animal listed goes through the same pre-sale health screening as the rest of our collection, covering body condition, respiratory clarity, skin and shed quality, and overall weight, with any animal showing concerns held back for further care rather than shipped.
Because line identity is essential for accurate breeding outcomes with Axanthic, we maintain and disclose full documented lineage for our breeding stock so buyers purchasing for future combo projects can trust the pairing history and specific line behind each animal, not just its visual appearance at the time of sale.
A well cared for Axanthic has the same twenty to thirty year captive lifespan as a normal phase ball python, and its husbandry needs remain stable across that lifespan once established in an appropriate enclosure, with no special care requirements tied to the pigmentation mutation itself.
