Description
Aru Green Tree Python For Sale Canada
An Aru Green Tree Python for sale Canada is a locality form of Morelia viridis originating from the Aru Islands of Indonesia, which holds particular significance in the hobby as the type locality for the species, the exact location from which the original specimens were collected and scientifically described in 1872. Buyers searching for an Aru Green Tree Python for sale Canada should know this locality is typically characterized by a vivid green adult coloration paired with a broken vertebral stripe of white or dull yellow scales running down the spine, and occasionally blue markings on the ventral scales in certain individuals, distinguishing it from the solid stripe patterns seen in some other localities such as Sorong.
Every Aru Green Tree Python for sale Canada listing we offer states the documented locality parentage behind that specific animal, since many green tree pythons in the wider pet trade are locality crosses of uncertain origin that do not reliably pass on true Aru traits.
Feeding for an Aru Green Tree Python for sale Canada follows an appropriately sized frozen thawed rodent diet offered at perch level using tongs rather than placed in the enclosure, since this species is a strict ambush predator that strikes from a coiled resting position on a branch. We track and share individual feeding history for every Aru Green Tree Python for sale Canada so new owners know exactly what prey size and feeding method to continue, which is worth noting since pure Aru neonates have a reputation among keepers for sometimes being more challenging to start on feeding than some other localities.
Unlike a terrestrial species, an Aru Green Tree Python for sale Canada requires a vertically oriented enclosure with sturdy horizontal perches sized to the animal’s body diameter, elevated ambient humidity, and careful attention to ventilation to prevent the respiratory issues this species is particularly prone to in overly stagnant or damp conditions. This species is egg-laying like other pythons, feeds primarily on small mammals and, as hatchlings, small lizards and amphibians in the wild, and is considered a keeper for someone with some prior snake experience rather than an absolute beginner, given its arboreal housing needs and more defensive temperament, especially as a juvenile.

Quality Assurance, Locality Documentation, and Longevity
Every animal listed goes through a pre-sale health and condition assessment covering body weight, skin and shed quality, respiratory clarity, and feeding consistency on an appropriate arboreal setup, with any animal not yet established held back for further care before being offered for sale.
Because locality accuracy is central to the value of an Aru Green Tree Python, particularly given its status as the species’ type locality, we maintain and disclose documented parentage for our breeding stock so buyers purchasing for display or future breeding projects can trust the geographic lineage behind each animal rather than relying on appearance alone, since green tree pythons are too visually variable to reliably identify locality by eye.
A well cared for Aru Green Tree Python typically lives fifteen to twenty years in captivity, and its humidity, ventilation, and perch-based housing needs remain more involved across that lifespan than a terrestrial species, which is why we document each animal’s established care routine at the time of sale.
Canada-Wide Shipping, Packaging, and Delivery Guarantee

Each animal receives a final condition check immediately before shipment is scheduled, and live arrival is guaranteed when our shipping guidelines are followed.
